2010 Ferrari 599XX Review
Ferrari 599XX, while based on the Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano with the transverse axis and provide the same type of engine, is an extreme racing car. Ferraris engineers have done important work in the engine combustion chambers and inlet channels and exhaust. These changes, combined with the fact that internal attrition has been reduced and the maximum speed increased to 9000 rpm, helped achieve the target power of 700 hp at 9000 rpm. Special attention was paid also to reduce the weight of the components of the engine block. This was achieved both by optimizing forms - as in the new crankshaft - and adopting exclusive materials, as in the carbon fiber used for the full consumption. A new gearbox shift strategy cuts the time of change in velocity of 60 ms.

The Ferrari 599XX is characterized by an innovative electronic concept called the "High Performance Dynamic Concept" which was designed to get the most out of the car by managing the combination of the mechanical limits of the car with the potential of its electronic controls. Mechanical and electronic systems work together to get the most out of the car under extreme high performance management, for consistent lap times. The sporty handling has been improved with the adoption of second generation system SMC suspension. Use up is also easier with the new "virtual car engineer", a screen in the car that provides a real time indication of the effectiveness of the vehicle.

Ferrari 599XXs aerodynamics were honed in the practice sessions in numerous wind tunnel with the result that the car now has 280 kg of downforce at 200 km / h (630 kg to 300 km / h). The bottom front of the body is completely faired, and the vents that channel hot compartment of the engine have been transferred to the chapel.

The "ActiflowT" support system increases and / or cuts drag depending on setting the car when cornering conditions, courtesy of the use of a porous material in the diffuser and two fans in the boot that channel the air flow below the car through two grilles next to the taillights. Fins were added to the rear buttresses to increase support. while synthetic jets have also been incorporated into the rear of the car control and smooth airflow and reduce drag.

Ferrari engineers have also used F1-derived "monks", which partly cover the brake discs and wheel. These two features to improve both aerodynamics and brake cooling.
As for the bodywork, composites and carbon fiber have been widely used and the engineers drew on their experience working with aluminum to meet your desired weight. The development of ever higher material performance also benefited from the system carbon-ceramic material braking. The brake pads are made of carbon fiber, which means that the calipers are smaller whilst guaranteeing the same efficiency. The new career of carbon ceramic braking system also offers shorter braking distances and is more efficient due to reduced weight.
